Gillette Venus Razor 24.08.08

Gillette_VenusThis Venus razor is basically the best razor I can remember ever using. It has 3 blades, which means you get a closer shave. It also leaves your skin feeling really smooth. Also, I usually end up with slight razor burn from any razor I use, but not this one. I haven’t had a single bit of razor burn at all. It has a moisturizing strip, like most other razors, but this one actually seems to work. The only problem I have with these blades, to be honest, is the fact that they cost roughly $10 for a pack of 4. That’s kind of pricey, but it’s still worth it.

Veet Hair Removal Mousse 12.08.08

Veet Hair Removal MousseI’ve used Veet hair removal mousse a few times in an effort to see if I could actually get it to work. It costs over $6.00 and honestly it’s not even worth $1.00 in my opinion. It stinks terribly. It’s messy as hell, and impossible to wash off. And worst of all, it does not remove all of your hair. It leaves little burnt pieces of hair on your legs and armpits. Also, it burns. Even if you follow the directions exactly and don’t leave it on any longer than it says, it will give you chemical burns. I honestly don’t recommend this junk to anyone. At all, ever.

As Seen On Tv - The Swivel Sweeper 11.08.08

If you are looking for something to replace your broom and dustpan, look no further than the swivel sweeper. I’ve owned mine for almost a year now and I must say that I’m geniunely pleased with it. I no longer have to use my dustpan and broom to sweep up things like the kitchen floor, or small messes on the rug. It will not replace your regular vaccuum, and is not strong enough to pick up big messes, but for what it’s intended for it works well. It’s light weight enough for even a small child to use, although I wouldn’t recommend letting a small child use it. The only thing I don’t like about it is how hair and other crap gets stuck in the bristles. They provide you with a thing that looks like a seam ripper to get the crap out of the bristles, but it’s kind of gross having to clean it. Other than that though I am happy with the product although I think the $30.00 price tag is a bit expensive.

Pantene Ice Shine - Review 21.05.08

pantene ice shineI thought I’d do my first review on a shampoo that I picked up at the store a couple of weeks ago. It’s called Pantene Ice Shine, and although it’s not brand new, I’d never used it before. Being a fan of Pantene, and with my hair being pretty dull looking as of late, I thought I’d give it a try. You can find Pantene Ice Shine in two sizes, 13.5 and 25.4 fluid ounces. I purchased the smaller bottle for $3.79. The larger bottle sells for about $5.99 at my local Target.

I must say that I loved the thick lather that it created, but it took longer than most shampoos to completely rinse out. Although the company website claims this shampoo will transform your dull, lifeless hair into gorgeous hair, I didn’t see much of a difference after a few days of use. It also gave me a rash on my hands. The shampoo smells basically the exact same as every other Pantene shampoo. It removes buildup and it did make my hair soft, but that’s about it. At best, I’d say this shampoo is “average” and isn’t quite worth the price.
